accepted answer has been given by Augustus I have never heard of rental cars history, but you can contact the rental car company you know your car belonged to and ask them. They probably won’t be able to help you with such information because most businesses don’t keep records for more than 7 years. But you can try.

You can go and have the test done by yourself, no problem, but I would recommend you take a friend that knows a few things about cars in general.

accepted answer has been given by Sammy I wouldn’t go as far as trying to replace air conditioning parts for my car by myself simply because the air conditioning system is quite complex. I recommend you go to a car specialist and have the replacements done because you also have the guarantee that it would work.
